Jackrabbit Technologies Recognized in 2015 Bulldog 100

University of Georgia Alumni Association Honors Entrepreneurial Graduates for Company Growth

CHARLOTTE, NC – February 11, 2015 – Jackrabbit Technologies, leading provider of online class  management software for youth activities centers, was recently recognized as the 51st  fastest growing among companies owned or operated by University of Georgia alumni in The 2015 Bulldog 100: Fastest Growing Bulldog Businesses. The University’s Alumni Association hosted the sixth annual Bulldog 100 event honoring entrepreneurial alumni on February 7, 2015 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. This is the 5th  consecutive year that Jackrabbit has been ranked in the list. “The companies represented at this event have made it there by exhibiting excellence – not just in their region or business sector – but among all types of companies across the country. I’m proud that we continue to produce growth figures that rank us with these superstars,” notes Jackrabbit’s President, Mark Mahoney, who graduated from the Terry School of Business with a BBA in 1983. “The event itself is a great way to meet and learn from others who have passions and goals similar to mine.  We are each entrepreneurs and products of UGA’s educational experience and that brings us together in a powerful way.” More than 450 nominations were submitted for the 2015 Bulldog 100.

To be considered for the program, an organization must have been in business for at least five years, had revenues of $100,000 or more for the calendar year 2011, and be owned or operated by a former UGA student who owns at least 50% of the company or be the CEO, President or Managing Partner. The program recognizes the fastest-growing businesses regardless of size by focusing on a three-year growth rate average. Bdog100AwardforBlogSince its inception in 2010, the Bulldog 100 has recognized 351 companies. This year’s honorees were stellar, averaging a compounded growth rate of 47.66% – a percentage  slightly higher than 2014’s class. The 2015 top 50 companies have an average compounded growth rate of 74% and the top 10 boast an average compounded growth rate of 163%. Sixty of this year’s 100 companies are returning honorees. “The strength of the businesses on this year’s Bulldog 100 list illustrates the quality of a University of Georgia education,” said Meredith Gurley Johnson, UGA executive director of alumni relations. “The university prides itself on preparing the state and country’s future business leaders and the alumni who own these businesses are the result of that focus on serving the state, nation and world.”
