Whats the last picture you took with your phone? My shopping cart full of craft items to share my weekend project. I am NOT crafty by nature and have to Pinterest copy everything I attempt!
Best compliment you have received? Your kids are so well behaved!
What do you feel most proud of? Going back and finishing college as an adult.
What is your favorite music? NPR.
If you could only keep 5 possessions, what would they be? My iPhone, my running shoes, a blank journal, my panda bear (stuffed animal) and a loaded Kindle – since I couldn’t decide on just one or two books.
What teacher in school made the most impact on you and why? Mrs. Humphries, my 3rd grade teacher. She had the class make an audio tape for me when I spent two weeks in the hospital and organized a class gift that I still treasure. She also auctioned off a slumber party at her house for that year’s school auction and I got to attend. We played dress-up in her closet and made this delicious peanut butter play-doh. Fun times!
What was one of your most defining moments in life? When I lost most my possessions in a fire. I was a young adult – just out of high school and it really spun my head around in way that still give me pause.
Why did you choose this profession? Because I love using my resourcefulness to help others find solutions. I also love the variety of work I get to do within support.
What are your top 3 favorite books and why?
- The Essential Rumi – Rumi was a 15th century mystic poet and he uses storytelling to teach about divine love in a jarring, epic way.
- The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver; she has impeccable writing and the character’s stories stretch out perfectly long. You get to find out ‘what happens’ to them.
- All the Harry Potter Books 😉
What’s your strongest personal quality? Always expecting the best from myself.
What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? How to play an instrument really well. It’s like dancing while sitting still.
Gwen was raised in Santa Barbara, California and moved to Charlotte as a teenager where she soon met her now-husband. She has worked in a variety of industries always focusing on customer service and she continues to thrive on finding solutions for clients.
She earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Belmont Abbey College and before learning Jackrabbit used a variety of software programs both personally and professionally. As a former client, Gwen knows firsthand how powerful and timesaving Jackrabbit is and she uses her experience to help others discover how Jackrabbit can grow their business.
Her passions include healthy living, yoga, and reading. She now lives in Waxhaw with her husband and 3 children.
